I have been drinking the tap water here for several years now. I used to live in a 'hard' water area in England and this stuff tastes exactly the same. I too read the article about Adeje water. how great it was and that they are now desalinating water and suppling parts of Arona.
However, I am currently moving into an apartment in the old town of Los Cristianos and the water is FOUL. Totally undrinkable. I suspect that the apartment is fed by the desalinated pipe referred to in the article. The only time I have come across desalinated water before was in Ibiza in the 1980's and that too was undrinkable. Despite it's name, desalinated water is SALTY.
Beginning to think that they are just selling me sea water with the fish filtered out.

Man trying to explain inflation to wife:
Look, when I married you, you were 34-26-34. You are now 40-40-40.
Although there is more of you, you are not worth as much.

On most apartment complexes the water is stored in a tank. So its not always straight from the mains. I wouldn't drink it. Who knows whats in it. We use a filter jug from the UK and just bring the filters out. They last for about a month before we replace them. Or bottled water for drinking.
