We are new to the forum and will be having our holidays in Tenerife

Hi, I am Annakarin and me and my family will be 2 weeks in Tenerife. We are living in the south in Granadilla and we are so looking forward to it. We are vegetarians so I have search for good places to eat out but also farmers markets around.
Do you know somewhere that I can pick fruits and pay?
Is there a great
market that you know?
Maybe you know a great vege restaurante?

We want to be at the african market on sunday to see if we can find some african clothes.
Do you know a nice cosy hostel in the near of the market where we can stay?
I would be so happy for some ideas.

We are in Tenerife 7-21 mars.

hi Annakarin, There is a good farmers market held each saturday and sunday morning at San Isidro which is just off the motorway. They sell all local veg and fruit that is in season, but be aware it is not always the best as that is sent for export. It is worth a visit as you will see a local cheese maker and local honey sold there. Vegetarian restaurants i dont know about but you can usually find something to eat in most restaurants. El medano is a lovely place that you must visit.

The Mercado de Nuestra Senora de Africa is not a market that sells African clothes it is mostly fruit, veg and flowers, and the streets around it are a Rastro market with a few stalls selling new things, you will need to go early as the Mercado de Nuestra Senora de Africa closes at 2 o'clock.
