when someone dies- registering the death etc

I am Power of Attorney for a friend of my mothers who dies like to come over to Tenerife a lot. As she is in her mid eighties and a few of her friends have died, she asked me that if she died in Tenerife would I be registering the death as if she died in the Uk? I admitted that I didn't know. Also when I registered a family members death in Uk, I was asked how many copies of the death certificate I wished( for the banks, insurance companies etc) as it was cheaper to get them then rather than asking later? Does this also happen in Tenerife?

I am not too worried about sorting the cremation, and yes we have talked this through at length, it is the paperwork info that I require thanks.
