Sanitas doctors in South Tenerife?

We have received our Sanitas medical cards today ( arranged through BBVA) but we cannot work out how we register with a doctor and dentist and if there are any Sanitas doctors/dentists in or near Playa San Juan? Any help would be very useful, please.

Sanitas is part of BUPA, you do not register with any Doctor or Dentist, if you need to see someone you can choose who to go to. The private hospitals in the south are Hospiten Sur and Quiron in Adeje, we have been to both for various ailments and have been happy with the service recieved. We have been with Sanitas for a number of years and have no complaints.

Thanks: when you say choose, is there a list to choose from or can I choose any local doctor or dentist? For example, I have dental cover and would like to see a dental hygienist but would prefer a local appointment ideally as I use buses for transport.

If you set up an account on the Sanitas website you can see who is available in your area, if there are any, and can also book appointments online. For Dentists you would probably need to visit your local ones to see if they accept the card, not all will.

Dr Blanco in Callao Salvaje is with BUPA/Sanitas

Thanks to you both for the information. I will visit local dentists to see if they accept my Sanitas card and will contact Dr Blanco next week.
