Fibre optics

I had fibre optics installed today but I have just done a speed test and they are very little faster than before only 3.57 they were 2.56 before .My friend had hers installed and the speed increased immediately Has anyone else had to wait the speed to increase ?

For fibre optic that's disgraceful, i'd get them back out.....

Something is wrong if that is the speed you are seeing. We have just had fibre optic installed (new line with movistar) and seeing download speeds in excess of 230 Mb/s and upload speeds of 23 (plus) Mb/s. As JaBBa said - call them back out.
