hi I am looking at renting apartment for up to 6 years I want to know is there are hidden charges after paying rent, electric, water, rubbish , do you pay council tax like in the UK.

We moved to Tenerife in Nov 2015 as long term renters. We pay an amount for rent each month that includes a fast internet connection. Every 2 months we get individual metered bills for water and electric. We pay for a tv package monthly plus private health insurance monthly( as we are early retirees). We don't pay extra for Basura or other community charges or taxes.
