    Tenerife North airport Veterinary control?

    Dear All,

I will be flying into TFN with a layover in Gran Canaria with 2 cats from a EU state (they got all the vaccines and paperwork). Do you know if it is necessary to contact the airport veterinary control in advance to schedule an appointment for them to be let into the Canaries, and would this check have to take place on Gran Canaria? Or if since they are travelling from another EU country all is straightforward? Basically any input you may have on what happens once you land on Canarian soil will be helpful Thanks a lot!!
