Spanish mobile number

How long is a Spanish mobile/SIM number viable. I've been told by a staff member at an Orange shop it's 3 months if you don't use/topup. Another independent shop says 1 year. Anyone have any info. TIA

Maybe different providers have varying length of time from last use and/or topup before they delete the SIM from their system and the customer thern ceases to be able to use it and also with a loss of any credit the SIM had.

I have a LYCA.ES SIM and the inactivty timescale from last use to when they delete it is 60 days. I also have a little used LYCA.UK SIM and that timescale is a more generous 90 days.

I have Orange pay as you go and it is one year.

I receive a text message after after 11 months to remind me to top up.

I don't think it matters whether you use it so long as you top up.
