    Shade temperature at...10:20 am....20.9°C

    Humidity 62%

    Barometric pressure 1020 mb

    Good Morning!

Another overcast day yesterday afternoon although a cloudless sun was predicted.
There was some blue sky in the north, but clouds covered the rest.

This morning is again overcast despite another forecast of only sun. Here's what the Channel 1 TV weatherman predicts for today:

And the outlook for Puerto de la Cruz today and the next days:

Light winds are from the north and the UV is high at 10, high temperatures of 24°C expected.

    What's on the webcams:

Teide and Orotava Valley on the La Quinta Schauenburg webcam

Sta. Cruz SSE view on MeteoSantacruz webcam.

Sunshine in Sta. Cruz on the Ramblas exit traffic cam.

Still clouds overhead on the Sat 24 satellite image. Let's hope they disappear.

Yesterday afternoon in La Paz and El Duranzo between 12:30 and 1:00 pm:

    This morning:

    No Teide in sight:

Antonio comes to cut the lawn:

Minnie wants to come in the window....when the door is open:

From my files - Two years ago today - June 2, 2009 - another trip up Teide, to see the film set of Clash of the Titans, pink rock roses in the forest on the way up, and lunch in Vilaflor:

My friend Eve stands before a mass of rock roses (cistus incanus) on the drive up to Las Cañadas:

A closeup of one flower with petals like crushed silk:

    Approaching the film set:

Filming a scene on the set:

Vilaflor is the highest village in all of Spain at an altitude of 1,400 m. The red taginaste grows there in street planters:

Lunch in Vilaflor sitting under a grape arbor:

Hopefully we will soon see the end of those clouds.
The sun seems to be coming out now at 10:25 am.

But whatever the weather, have a good day!

I'm trying to post today's (Saturday's) report but it won't upload to a new paragraph....just keeps repeating yesterday's post and the new one stuck on the bottom. Will keep trying.

The posts for the new day are being merged onto the previous day and same date...help!

    Added after 7 minutes:

As the thread still is trying to merge with yesterday's post, the number of photos of both posts are added and now exceeding the limit.

I hope the mods will step in and stop this merge so I can make a new post for each day. I'm all ready with today's post but the current state won't accept it.

JUNE 4 Saturday - Current June weather- North Tenerife - reported by Forum Members

As the weather posts now suddenly merge with that of the previous day, making it impossible to load up the daily photos, I'll have to make a separate thread for today until the merge function is corrected and I can again post a separate entry for each day. Thanks.

SUNDAY June 5 - Weather in North Tenerife

I'm sorry but again the same thing is happening as yesterday. I'm unable to post a new weather report onto the existing thread. So I have to start a new one and hope the mods can fix it so it is again as it has always been....a new paragraph with the blue separation bar above for the next day's post.

So here is my entry for today..:

Sunday June 5, 2011 - Puerto de la Cruz

    Shade temperature at...11:45 am...21.2°C

    Humidity 60%

    Barometric pressure 1014 mb

    Good Morning!

(I know I'm late this morning but I was walking down in the town.)

Yesterday we again had sun and cloud with warm temperatures up to 24°C.

    Just after 2 pm:

This morning is overcast but as I write now it's only 8:30 am and if the sun breaks through, it will probably happen around 10 o'clock.

It's already over 20°C and the humidity is a high 70%.

(Later - no sun came out this morning.)

The RTVE weather girl shows much cloud all around the islands, cloudy in the north and temperatures in the north for today from 20° to 24°C.

The provincial forecast is for cloudy to very cloudy below 1500 meters, being clear above that altitude; possible light showers in the north, light north winds and UV high at 10.

Monday should be about the same as today; and very cloudy on Tuesday.

    What's on the webcams today:

Bodegas Monje cam over Orotava and Puerto.

Icod de Los Vinos on the Finca La Gaviota webcam.

Sta. Cruz traffic cam at Ramblas exit.

The current visual on Sat 24 shows much cloud all around:

Yesterday afternoon shortly after 2:00 pm in La Paz:

    I love those white agapanthus:

And later at 8 pm looking southward:

This morning - I made a quick walk down to the town so that's why I'm a little late today.
It was dull and overcast all the time with no sun. Here are my photos:

By the sea wall at San Telmo, where the visitors come to sit and look at the sea:

Fishing from the rocks at San Telmo:

The pools of the Lido in the background:

I though I deserved a doughnut and coffee at the cafe in Plaza del Charco as reward for walking all that way:

There were races held down by the fishermens' harbour - I believe it was a triathon:

    From my files:

Six years ago today - June 5, 2005 - sunny in Botanico road in La Paz:

Same day - out to lunch in La Paz:

    Our table:

Three years ago today - June 5, 2008 - a blackbird warms up on the hot tiles::

Also three years ago - I made grilled courgettes for lunch:

Two years ago today - June 5, 2009 - restaurants in la Paz near Botanical Gardens:

    Same day:

And because it's Sunday, here's some cherry cheesecake with whipped cream for you:

    Enjoy your Sunday!

Sorry; It's the automatic double-post thing causing the issue.
As long as the last post is by the same user, it's merged.
It's supposed to have a time setting, we'll just have to find it.

    Good Morning!

We're still having those cloudy days with warm temperatures.

That's the way it was yesterday and although this morning is overcast at 8:00 am it's already 20.5°C.

At 9:45 am this morning it began to drizzle a bit.

Aemet provincial forecast predicts more sun and clouds in the north with possible showers.
Light winds from the north and UV high at 10. Expected temperatures up to 24°C.

The forecast for Puerto de la Cruz says no rain and only partly cloudy.

Tuesday is expected to be very cloudy.

Here is the TV weathergirl for the national forecast. North Tenerife is expected to be cloudy:

    TenerifeFanatic...

The events related to Corpus Christi are going on in La Orotava from May 15th to July 3rd this year, but the making of the flower carpets and the evening procession is on June 30.

I believe they are already working on the sand carpets at the present time.
I'll wait until the last week of June before going up to see them.

    Shade temperature at...10:45 am....22.4°C

    Humidity 61%

    Barometric pressure 1020 mb

    Good Morning!

A lot of dark clouds around yesterday but the sun also shone and it was warm.

This morning there were a few wet spots on the patio but there was only a small puddle in the rain gauge so very little rain fell during the night or early morning.

It's again overcast and it looks like there may be a few drops more.
The air is balmy and early morning temperature was over 21°C.

The provincial forecast for today is for cloudy in the north with probability of occasional showers, moderate northeast winds with some intervals of strong gusts on northwest coasts, slight drop in temperatures.

The forecast for Puerto de la Cruz is for partly cloudy. Temperatures 19° to 24°C and UV high at 10.

I think the provincial forecast which includes a bit of rain will be the more accurate. And we can expect a little wind today too.

Here's the RTVE weatherman with Canary Island forecast:

What's on the webcams this morning:

Bodegas Monje at El Sauzal shows clouds lifting over Puerto de la Cruz in the distance.

I was talking with a friend in Germany this morning on Skype and he said they have the same weather there - cloudy every day with a little rain.

Well it's warm and we don't have storms and giant hail as they had yesterday on the Spanish mainland.

The TV news showed a scene like midwinter where they had to call out heavy machines to clear away the hail which was like piles of snow.

Enjoy the weather and have a lovely day!
