Very sunny here at the minute...approx 7 degrees though which isn't great...brrrrrrr.
Very pleasant though and a bit lighter this morning although not really that noticable. Unlike later when the daylight disappears at 16:51.....:crying2:
Thank goodness I will be taking cover in the pub as it's happening.....:tiphat:

No, we've had to cancel unfortunately as we don't know where we stand with Maureen's op and she's very concerned that it might flare up again when we're away. So as I was due to pay for the apartment we made the decision to cancel rather than risk losing money. The insurance would have been a problem anyway.
So I've been in touch with Marina and there's a couple of beers behind the bar for you. :cheers:

Today at the moment
here on the West Coast of Jockland it's a lovely clear day, with a temperature of 12c with only a slight breeze.
The sea is flat calm, but there are a few of the "Yellow Wellie Brigade" out on their dingoes waiting for some stronger wind coming from the East.:sailing:

Well that went well, only there 30 mins total, he just made sure my legs were the same length, bent my legs at different angles, no X-ray no bloods, come back in 4 months, let us know when you want the other hip done.
Still dry here but very grey, it was raining a bit in Crumpsall though.

Well here's one thing
Gas boiler now needs electric to trigger the pilot light. So in the winter when there are likely to be storms and cold weather and no electric how do you get your boiler to work ? Old days you lit it with a match :whistle:
We had this problem one winter, why not have a back up battery system :crazy:
Well here's one thing
Gas boiler now needs electric to trigger the pilot light. So in the winter when there are likely to be storms and cold weather and no electric how do you get your boiler to work ? Old days you lit it with a match :whistle:
We had this problem one winter, why not have a back up battery system :crazy:just do what I am this year. Buy a decent petrol generator. That way you can run all your electrics:eyebrows:

When we left Manchester around this date in November and it was horrible, cold murky and a thoroughly awful morning. Landed on the island just after lunchtime and when they opened the plane door, the heat hit you like an oven. You may ask what's this got to do with 'the weather in the UK', well today here in Wigan it's 16c. Times have changed for this year anyway. :hat:
